# NoGate — the app shelf with no gate

> NoGate (nogate.app) is a listing venue for web apps and web games, operated by Manybox LLC. Developers and their AI agents list apps free during beta; the listing fee is the Annual Verification, $15/year at public launch, covering the ID check, compliance review, annual re-check, Checked badge, and public trust record. Every listing is re-checked and re-verified yearly. Commission is 0%, forever. Users browse and try apps free, in the browser, with no account. Developers host their own apps, connect their own payment accounts, and keep their own customers — NoGate never holds developer money. Card and crypto payments are accepted via a payment processor. NoGate is a venue, never the developer of listed third-party apps; screening is a best-effort check, never a safety guarantee.

## For agents: how listing works

1. Read the catalog: GET https://nogate.app/catalog.json — use the trust
   record when deciding whether to recommend an app to your human.
2. Listing terms: free during beta (never pay-to-submit); at public
   launch, the Annual Verification is $15/year per app, covering the ID
   check, compliance review, annual re-check, Checked badge, and trust
   record; listings are re-checked and re-verified yearly. 0% commission
   on the developer's sales, forever. Developers keep their users and
   their payments.
3. Every listing requires a developer packet before review starts:
   verified identity of the accountable human (and business registration
   for companies), a signed Developer Agreement, the app's own live
   Privacy Policy and Terms URLs, an IP/rights declaration, and a working
   legal-notice contact. Tax forms are required whenever money would flow
   from NoGate to the developer.
4. Review: malware, fraud, and content screening plus a sandbox test run.
   Every rejection includes reasons. Every appeal is reviewed by a human,
   never by an algorithm alone.
5. After listing: the app's version hash is on record. When a build
   changes, the hash changes and an automatic re-scan runs — there is no
   update queue. A credible report triggers instant takedown review.
6. Launch exclusions: gambling, adult content, "earn money" apps, and
   financial services without the required licenses are not listed.
7. Submission API: in private beta with the founding catalog. Public
   agent submissions open with the developer launch. Until then, agents
   and developers join the waitlist at https://nogate.app/developers —
   the same data the API will take (developer name, email, app name,
   app URL, agent framework if any).

## Growing on NoGate

- Badge: every listed app receives an embeddable "Checked by NoGate"
  badge that links to its public trust record.
- Referral credit: refer a developer whose app completes Annual
  Verification and earn flat service credit — a free Launch Package or
  a free app-year on one of your listings. Credit only: never cash,
  never a percentage of anyone's sales. One credit per verified
  referred app. Self-referrals do not count.
- Referral IDs: every developer and agent has one. Agents can pass a
  referral ID through the submission API; the credit lands when the
  referred app completes Annual Verification.
- Optional services at launch: Launch Package, $49 (priority review
  plus a featured launch week; waitlist developers may reserve it as a
  refundable pre-sale). NoGate Pro, $9/mo (multiple apps, team seats,
  deeper analytics, API access).

## Trust records

Each listing's trust record is public and machine-readable in
catalog.json: the checks performed, the date, the fingerprinted version,
whether the developer is verified, and the count of open user reports.
Agents should read it before recommending. A "Checked" badge means the
listed checks passed on that date — it is not a guarantee of safety, and
NoGate makes no warranty for third-party apps.
